Product Description

Hand-Woven Texture & Artisanal Craftsmanship

The defining feature of the Chunky Knit Brown Rug is its remarkable, multi-dimensional surface structure. Crafted using the finest pure wool, expert artisans have woven thick, cable-knit-style yarns into complex geometric grid and diamond relief patterns.

This heavy-gauge loop and cut texture creates a deeply cushioned, comforting feel underfoot while capturing ambient light to produce dramatic shadows across the floor. The robust, hand-crafted weave endows the rug with a substantial pile weight of 2,560 g/m², offering an opulent, heavy-weight quality that brings immediate warmth and acoustic comfort to living rooms, bedrooms, or dining spaces.

A Warm, Earthy Palette

Designed to complement organic, Scandinavian, or traditional British interior schemes, the rug showcases a rich, welcoming colour spectrum:

  • Rich Cocoa & Chocolate Brown: The primary body of the rug is steeped in deep, velvety brown tones that bring natural warmth and character to your floor space.

  • Warm Chestnut & Amber Highlights: Subtle variations within the hand-spun wool yarns reveal lighter chestnut and warm tan accents along the raised knit patterns.

  • Dark Espresso Undertones: Deep, shadowed espresso shades sit within the recessed textured grooves, highlighting the intricate geometric patterns and providing captivating visual depth.

Care & Maintenance Guide

Vacuuming

It is completely normal for your new wool rug to shed fluff at first; this is caused by excess fibres that attach during the spinning process. Once the rug has been vacuumed a few times, this shedding will lessen and eventually stop.

  • Routine Care: Regular vacuuming helps keep your rug looking new for longer by preventing surface dirt from becoming embedded.

  • Equipment: We recommend using a suction vacuum cleaner only to ensure the textured pile is not damaged by rotating brush bars.

  • Rotation: We suggest rotating your rug regularly to even out general foot-traffic wear and prevent uneven fading from exposure to natural sunlight.

Spills & Stains

To prevent permanent marks, any spills must be dealt with as soon as they occur using the following steps:

  1. Blot immediately: Blot up excess liquid with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Never rub, as this can spread the spill and damage the wool fibres.

  2. Treat: Working from the outer edge of the stain toward the centre, apply an appropriate carpet cleaner with a clean cloth.

  3. Dry & Vacuum: Gently pat the area with a paper towel, allow it to dry naturally, and vacuum thoroughly.

  4. Repeat: If the stain remains visible, repeat the process. If home removal is unsuccessful, please contact a professional carpet and rug cleaning company.
